with Great Hautbois

Welcome to Coltishall
Coltishall is situated nine miles north east of Norwich on the River Bure, gateway to the Norfolk Broads. In addition to its beautiful river frontage, part of the Broads Authority, it has wide expanses of common land managed by the Coltishall Commons Management Trust, and much of the village itself is a conservation area.

The Parish Council
The Parish Council consists of up to 11 members who all live in or near Coltishall and Gt Hautbois and represent the parish on various matters. We are effectively the third tier of local government below County and District Councils. We usually meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6.30pm in the Church Rooms, Rectory Road, Coltishall.

We're responsible for:
Bus Shelters
Hautbois Common
Litter and Dog Bins
Recreation and Playing Fields
Parish Footpaths (not pavements)
Parish Rights of Way
Public Seats (except Commons)
Signs (except Highways)
Sports Pavilions/Changing Rooms
Verge Maintenance
Village Hall

We are also entitled to make comments on all planning applications in the parish although the District Council, Broads Authority or County Council make the decisions.
